The Eighth Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office offers Juvenile Pretrial Intervention (PTI) as a diversion program for eligible juvenile offenders. The program is designed to promote accountability while giving participants an opportunity to successfully complete program requirements as an alternative to traditional prosecution.
Juvenile PTI may include community service and other requirements based on the circumstances of the case. Participation is available only through referral by the Family Court prosecutor.
Referral & Eligibility
There is no application process for Juvenile PTI. Participation is available only through referral by the juvenile prosecutor.
Eligibility and referral are determined based on the circumstances of the juvenile’s case.
Program Requirements
Participants are required to successfully complete the requirements assigned through Juvenile PTI. These requirements may include community service and other conditions intended to promote accountability.
Participants are also responsible for paying any restitution owed as a result of the case.
Program Fee
Juvenile PTI participants do not pay an application fee. Participants are responsible for a $250 program fee, in addition to any restitution that may be owed.
