Blue pill trafficker sentenced to 15 years in prison

TYREE RASHAD PALMORE

A Greenwood man will spend the next 15 years behind bars following his conviction
for trafficking fentanyl, 8th Circuit Solicitor David M. Stumbo announced Monday.

Tyree Rashad Palmore, 35, pled guilty on March 9, 2026, when his case was scheduled
for a jury trial in Greenwood County General Sessions Court. Circuit Judge Frank R.
Addy, Jr., deferred the sentencing hearing until Monday when he imposed the 15-year sentence.

Palmore was stopped for minor traffic violations on March 30, 2025 by Officer William
Terry with the Greenwood Police Department. The odor of marijuana led to a search of
Palmore, who had over 200 pressed blue fentanyl pills concealed down his pants.

Senior Assistant Solicitor Andrew Hodges and Assistant Solicitor Abigail Lodge handled
the case for the State, with assistance from 8th Circuit Investigator Charlie
Cunningham. Palmore was represented by attorney Tristan Shaffer.

“Our prosecutors have been standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our local, state and federal law enforcement partners over the past few years to eradicate deadly fentanyl from our community,” said Solicitor Stumbo. “Hopefully the message will resonate loudly and clearly to the traffickers that are bringing this poison into our country–if you choose to profit off the misery of our people, you will pay the price and lose your freedom for many years to come.”
